Medical aid manufacturer now with dual leadership
In order to drive forward the strategic development of Ofa Bamberg GmbH, Stephan Börner will join the management team from July 2025 on and will lead the company together with Dr. Fabian Bohnen, who has been in full charge of Ofa Bamberg since the beginning of the year.
Stephan Börner is an experienced Managing Director from the healthcare industry who brings fresh perspectives and international management experience to Bamberg: ‘As a native of Upper Franconia, I am particularly looking forward to returning to my home region and working with Dr. Fabian Bohnen and the entire team to further develop Ofa Bamberg GmbH in cooperation with our market partners - both internationally and nationally,’ says Börner.
Stephan Börner is currently Managing Director at MCM Klosterfrau Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, headquartered in Cologne. After holding positions at Glaxo Smith Kline, Merck and Procter & Gamble, among others, he initially took over the position of Sales Director at the long-established company Klosterfrau in April 2022, before being appointed Managing Director shortly afterwards. At Ofa, he will be responsible for Marketing, Sales, Finance, HR and Strategy as CEO from July 2025 on. As COO, Dr. Fabian Bohnen will focus on the areas of production, logistics, development and IT. ‘Stephan Börner brings extensive international expertise in the areas of business development, process and product innovation as well as marketing and sales excellence. I look forward to working with him and our management team to develop innovative solutions and shape the future,’ says Bohnen.
